Corning Aircraft Shuttle

Given COVID-19's current impact on the nation, effective March 18, 2020, personal travel is no longer allowed on Corning Shuttles. The Corning Shuttle is to be used strictly for business-essential travel until further notice.

The personal travel privilege on the corporate shuttle is extended to Corning Incorporated retirees. This benefit is for the retiree, their spouse, direct children and parents. Any reservations requests MUST be made by the retiree only.

For current shuttle destinations and schedules, please call the corporate hangar at 607-974-8080 and press option two for the shuttle line.

How to Make A Shuttle Reservation

The retiree must make the reservation by calling 607-974-8080, Monday through Friday. Press option two for the shuttle line.
Personal travel reservations may be made between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the business day before travel.
Reservations cannot be submitted by email or by leaving a message on the answering machine/voice mail.

Shuttle Usage Rules

Personal travel passengers MUST arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to departure time. The shuttle will not wait for personal passengers and may depart once all business passengers have arrived.

A government issued photo ID is required to board the shuttle.

Each piece of luggage must be of a weight and dimension that can be safely lifted by any member of our flight crew. A 50 lb. combined luggage weight limit per passenger is required. All bags must not exceed 2'x2'x4'.

Carrying golf clubs is at the discretion of the crew and must be included in the 50 lb. weight limit.

Corporate aircraft will not transport any unaccompanied freight/luggage. No freight/luggage is to be left at the hangar unaccompanied.

Pets are not allowed on the aircraft.

All shuttle passengers (both business and personal – all ages) are required to adhere to the business casual dress code as outlined below:

All corporate flights as well as Corning aircraft facilities are non-smoking.

The use of cameras or video equipment is strictly prohibited in or around Corning aircraft.

All passengers must be able to embark/disembark the aircraft without assistance from the crew or staff members.

All personal travel is at the discretion of Corning Incorporated. These policies are subject to change at any time.

Items Not To Pack or Bring On Board the Shuttle

Federal regulations restrict the carriage of items classified as hazardous material when transported by aircraft. These items may include, but are not limited to: acid, flammable liquids/solids/gases, explosives, oxidizing materials, corrosive materials, compressed gases (including medical oxygen) or propellants, poisons, etiologic agents, and radioactive materials. Any substance or material that is classified by ITAT, DOR and/or the US Hazardous Materials Regulations is considered dangerous and hazardous and cannot travel on the corporate shuttle. Corning Aviation Operations is NOT a hazardous materials shipper/transporter.

Spare batteries for any type of device MUST be in the original packaging or have each battery terminal insulated (by covering with tape) to prevent a fire hazard. Additionally, these spares should be in the passenger compartment, not in the "checked" baggage area.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations may be made by calling the corporate hangar at 607-974-8080 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (EST). Press option two for the shuttle line.

To cancel a reservation after 5:00 p.m. or on weekends, leave cancellation information on the recording at the corporate hangar.

Cancellations for morning flights MUST be made by 6:00 a.m. the day of the flight.

Cancellations for afternoon flights must be made four hours prior to the flight departure time on the day of the flight.

Parking

All Corning Incorporated aircraft passengers may park at the hangar; 348 Sing Sing Road, Horseheads, NY 14845. Parking privileges are restricted to Corning aircraft passengers only.
