LYCOMING ENGINES
A factory rebuilt engine gives pilots and aircraft owners a zero-time engine logbook while also increasing the value of their aircraft. With the Lycoming Engine Exchange Program, you can stay in the air until your replacement engine arrives.
Lycoming is the only FAA-authorized manufacturer that can rebuild your Lycoming engine to an absolute zero-time status. We test every rebuilt engine part to new tolerances, so they meet the same requirements as a brand-new Lycoming aircraft engine. Rebuilt engines come with a 2-year warranty (O-235 cylinders have a 1-year warranty) including parts and labor honored at any authorized distributor worldwide.
Every Lycoming engine, whether new, rebuilt, or overhauled, travels down one assembly line in our factory to maintain consistent quality control and assembly processes from start to finish. Lycoming's durability, reliability, and customer support cannot be reproduced.

History
It began in 1845 as the Demorest Manufacturing Company producing sewing machines and bicycles in Williamsport, PA. The machinery always hinted greater things were to come. Becoming Lycoming Foundry and Machine Company in 1907, Lycoming developed automobile engines in a market driven by the needs of a nation at war.
Inspired by Charles Lindberg trans-Atlantic flight, Lycoming began developing aviation aircraft engines. Starting in 1929 aviation would never be the same. The first Lycoming R-680, a 9-cylinder 200 hp piston-driven radial engine left the assembly line and established a new standard in general aviation. Our piston engines continue to evolve today as we develop advanced technologies to remain the power behind general aviation aircraft.
